Part II: Spyder Chassis and RSK. Another installment in our three part series on customer projects in process.
We’ve developed a custom jig to build the chassis for our RW Spyder. We will also use this jig to fabricate the chassis for our RW RSK. Here are some pictures of a new chassis in work.
The chassis has been partially bonded and fastened to the body of our first RW Speedster Builder kit. The negative draft pieces have been removed and we are in the process of installing floor boards, footwell panels and front bulkhead panels, as well as completing our chassis to body alignment jig. After completing these tasks, the finished body and chassis will be removed from the mold tool.
With the superstructure completed to support the mold and the secondary mold section fitted for the body skirt and wheel wells, the body buck was finally removed. Exciting days to see all the work come together!
